Counter strike global offensive 2 is a major improvement over the current game. Valve has brought the well-loved FPS to their more modern Source 2 engine.
Touchstone maps will see minor adjustments to readability and lighting, while Upgraded maps will get a full overhaul with Source 2's physically-based rendering.
Several gameplay improvements are also on the horizon and include sub-tick changes that will reduce the need for tick rates to calculate precision actions.
Gameplay
Counter-Strike Global Offensive, the latest installment of the wildly popular Counter-Strike franchise, has the same gameplay that has established the genre. It was developed in Valve's Source 2 engine, and boasts high-resolution textures, real-time lighting, and Physics. It's also been updated with a variety of new weapons and gameplay elements.
The game features 34 weapons, of which 19 are exclusive to the new version. Many of them are replacements for older weapons and the rest have been designed with distinct roles and characteristics.
Some of the most significant changes focus on the guns themselves. The SCAR-L was replaced with a new weapon that has more power and range as well as the AK-128 received a revised barrel that improves accuracy. Other weapons have been tweaked as well such as the M4A1 and sniper rifles.
